Announcement

Dear Friends and Family of WWBC

First off Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. It is because of your unbelievable support that we are preparing to celebrate our 10th year of operations. Its been a wild ride for sure. What started out as a crazy pipe dream of two homebrewers from opposite sides of the tracks has blossomed into an award-winning community staple in Marysville.

Over the years we’ve welcomed your newborns into the taproom and we have mourned the loss of your loved ones. We have watched your kids grow up and a few have even partaken of their very first beers with us. We have met your friends and we were introduced to your families. You have volunteered to help wherever needed, whenever needed.  You have pitched in to help with events, construction, folding shirts, or decorating the taproom. We have spent more time with you in the last 10 years then we have with our own extended families. You are Whitewall Brewing, we are just the vessel.

When we started this journey 10 years ago, we had no business plan or fancy forecast models. Nothing that you would normally put together when creating a new business venture. We only had two requirements. #1 Provide a really cool place for people to come together, fellowship and share a beer. And #2, Make enough money to cover our costs to operate it. That was it. Clearly, I think we have achieved those goals and that was all we ever set out to do. Were we naïve? Sure, we were. Were we a bit clueless as to how to run a business? At first, absolutely. But through it all we did it “our way”.  We grew, we expanded but we always did it our way. It has been one hell of a journey.

All of this is to say, the journey as we currently know It, is coming to an end or a pause or maybe a pit stop. Were not sure yet. Because of new responsibilities, Laurel and Sean have decided #10 is where they are hopping off the ride. As of this moment that is the only thing that is set in stone. We would love for WWBC to continue for another 10 years and were hopeful that there is someone out there to do just that. Maybe its you, maybe its someone you know. Or maybe its someone like Sean and Aaron who want a chance to start their own journey and take over what we have started. Bring them to us. Let’s talk. There are a lot of options on the table here.  There is an opportunity to partner with Aaron and keep the ball rolling, Status Quo if you will. Or maybe you only need production space? Maybe you have been thinking of opening a taproom or bottleshop?  We have some time to figure this out. We will still be here for a few more months at least. As soon as we have a plan in place you will be the first to know. Enough about this for now…  Let’s talk about the PARTY!!!!!
